GPSy has a locking feature such that unregistered versions will only run for approximately 15 minutes before shutting down. Various features of GPSy such as Mac system time/locale synchronization and data uploads are also restricted until you have purchased GPSy. Registering for GPSy will remove the usage restriction.

Individual Single User: Any person using GPSy for private use.
Institutional Workgroup: Any person or persons using GPSy in a corporate or institutional setting. With an institutional license, you may install and operate GPSy on up to three (3) computers or
laptops within the same department or workgroup.
Individual Users may be eligible to purchase GPSy at the $30 Competitive Upgrade price if they meet any one of the following conditions:
• You have a registered copy of any other commercial GPS/GIS package ,
the price of which must be >= US$25. Please include the name of the software
package in the "Comments" field of the registration form when ordering.

Online purchasing is the fastest way to obtain your license key. We use secure servers that have processed over 380,000 purchases without a single hacker break-in.
Alternately if you wish to send your order by mail or fax, open the Register GPSy program that came with the distribution package. Enter your name, your e-mail address, and the number of single-user licenses you wish to purchase. Save or Copy or Print the data from the Register GPSy program and send the data and the payment to Kagi. Kagi handles all of my payment processing. You will be sent your registration key from Kagi directly, usually within 1-3 days of your Kagi receipt. The key removes the time restriction, so it's very important that you include your e-mail address with your payment.
If paying with Credit Card or First Virtual, you can e-mail or fax the data to Kagi. The registration program has all of the details on how to do this. If you wish to send a Cash or US$ Check, you should print the data using the Register program and send it to the address shown on the form:

Payments sent by e-mail are processed within 3-4 days and you should receive your registration key within a week. Payments sent by fax may take up to 10 days for processing and a registration key within two weeks. Registrations by postal-mail take as long as the postal service takes for sending physical mail and then around 10 days for processing. Please be sure to include your correct e-mail address in order to receive your registration key.
